I had a discussion with my boyfriend, Davide about the difference in "dreams" and "imagination".

We have "dreams" of our future. Some "dreams" are possible....while other dreams are not.

He "dreams" of us having babies one day. Sometimes I "imagine" it especially if something happens to make me think about it..such as a move, story, a friend and etc.

In my opinion, "dreams" are expectations of the future. And.."imagine" ..is for the moment this enters your mind without really think about it too seriously.

He believes that "dreams" and "imagine" are the same thing. Do you agree with him?

Ok...I read where another Y!A member asked a similar question to this and the best answer was...

Imagining - Me Superman

I think after reading your input and that of Davide that I would have to agree with you. Yours makes more sense.

Imagining you future, is the exploration of options, the setting of course, necessary to attain your goals. Dreaming, all too often, is engaging in fantasy. Fantasy, may relieve lack of fulfillment in the short term. However, ultimately it may interfere with you achieving your goals.

It is critical to stay cognitive of your goals, in order to achieve them. Dreaming, may undermine your cognition. You can't get things done while dreaming.
