My cat Meg was actually dumped in my recycle bin when she was about 4 weeks old, luckily it had already been emptied. She was almost dead when i found her in there, it was a 40*C (104*F) day and i had no idea how long she had been in there,

I couldn't bear to take her to a shelter so we kept her and my dog loves her as much as we do. We have had her for 4 years now.. •~*♥*~•

Well, we're on our second adopted dog and cat (The first lived to be 16 and 19 respectively) The iguana was bought fo a project my sone had to do in 6th grade - It's 5 feet long and 13 years old. It was bought aganst my wishes and I refuse to let it die. It's very friendly but not terribly bright. In the summer it has free reign of the house. It uses a litter box like a cat.

The goldfish were rescued from the feeder fish tank at the local Petco for $.39 each. They live an a 20 gallon aquarium and they are HUGE! I think they are about 5 years old.

My Pet Mice: They were "rescue" mice that I adopted because they did not qualify for release back into the wild. That was almost 4 years ago.

My 1st Cat adopted me. It was abandoned at the Nursing Home and jumped into my car one day. She's been by my side ever since.

My 2nd Cat: It really belongs to my neighbor about a block away, but is now staying here day and night. Luckily, they had her "fixed", so I do not have that expense. I guess you can say she has adopted me.

Two (a cat & a dog) were adopted from the animal shelter (with an adoption fee). One of the cats was bought for $10 from someone whose cat had kittens. The third cat was given to me by a co-worker because he was a renter and had to get rid of her. The second dog was given to us by a farmer who had a "Free Puppies" sign . . . yup we got suckered into that one . . . we learned like the commercial says, "There's no such thing as a free puppy."

He came to the house in a litter of puppies and stood out because he was the only one of his color. Plus, all the other all the other dogs looked to be otherwise busy. I picked him up to hand him to someone else and he ended up staying in the palm of my hand way too long. So, I kept him and introduced him to another dog who he though must be his father because they looked alike. And then he met his girlfriend. And over the course of the years the have moved on but he has stayed with me. The fun part was protecting him from the cat I had at the time who was a stray kitten who came to my door and stayed with me from then on so I raised him to be big and not afraid of anything smaller than him. Needless to say the dog learned to respect the cat's space to my left as he stayed to my right. He is the only pet I have left. He is getting on in years and when he is gone I don't think there will be another addition to the household unless it comes with another person who loves animals.

My ADOPTED sons and I ADOPTED all 3 of our cats while they were kittens and ADOPTED our 1 DOG while he was a puppy from our city's Human Society. Our last DOG was also ADOPTED from the Human Society here in town. He had to be put to sleep and that is why we ADOPTED the DOG we have presently. We will always get our animals this way! When you ADOPT animals from the Human Society, you have to get them neutered/spayed. :o)

Typical, my two dogs were given by my 'kapitbahay'. My orange cat I found muddy in a ditch. The only pets that I bought are my 2 guinea pigs & 6 goldfishes. :-)

Adopted KoKo as a kitten many years ago. (No one wanted her because she was black---bad luck. She's brought me nothing but joy!)
