If this is a new thing, it's possible your baby is going through a growth spurt. They say the "average" baby (I don't know anyone who has one of those) will go through a growth spurt at 3 months, but it's possible for them to do it later as well. If that's the case, it may pass in a week or two.
At this age, most experts say that babies are waking in the night because they have an actual need. Hunger, wet diaper, etc. They are not doing it to be manipulative, and most are not able to soothe themselves at this age. Try getting your baby to eat a little more at each feeding, which may help her sleep longer if she's waking up hungry.
Other than that, you probably just need to tough it out. Honestly, it feels like you're going to die from exhaustion, I know, but it does get better eventually!

She's only 4 months old. I wouldn't expect a 4 month old baby to sleep through the night. If she is sleeping from midnight until 5 am then that's a pretty good stretch of sleep for a baby that age.

There is no rule of thumb, so anyone who told you a 4 month old "WILL" sleep through the night is incorrect.
Continue feeding when she's hungry. Eventually she'll sleep longer. If you know she's eaten recently you can try a pacifier, but its generally easier to jsut feed her!

Have you tried giving her a warm bath right before bedtime, then feed her(breast or bottle) and lay her down she should be sleeping through the night about now. Try putting a little cereal in her bottle and feed her. I hope this helps my daughter is the same age and i now sleeping through the night. hope this helps. If i miss bath time she wont sleep through the nite, so i dont miss it at all i love my sleep.
