Not sure if you're retired, semi-retired or what employment situation you're in.
I've just turned 60 and it took quite a lot of phone calls to pension credit to get what I was entitled to, and to sort out the mistakes they made. In my experience you have to be quite pro-active, it isn't all just handed out to you on the proverbial plate.
Similarly, they don't just send you the travel pass, you have to go and apply for it with your form and two photos at your local post office.
Good luck, and remember the best is yet to come.

I haven't got a clue what my entitlements are at 60, l didn't even realise l got free prescriptions until l went to the doctors and had to pick one up and they told me. As l cant claim my pension at 60 its all a bit of a muddle as to what you are and what you aren't entitled to at 60.

You probably know you can get free prescriptions when you are 60, but there are a few other things that you can receive.
In some areas you can get free chiropody. Phone up your Council and surgery and ask for leaflets which tells you what you are entitled to. Hope this helps.

At 60 you have to find out at 65 (male) the government will get in touch about basic pension but for anything else you will have to find out for yourself. You need to be a Philadelphia lawyer to understand some of the extra benefit forms. this actually puts a lot of people off claiming their due benefits

I guess that you have to make your own enquiries.

I was there a few years ago, but am still finding out.

I have just heard that free bus travel is available to senior citizens, but still have no idea how to access this function.

I wonder what other entitlements I coud have?

Except for pensions you mostly have to find out for yourself. I realise that Women can no longer claim their pension at age 60 but I was in the era when they could. Several weeks before my 60th birthday the pensions people wrote to me asking for details so that they could work out my pension for me.However I had to arrange for my own bus pass.
