You can't put any kind of easement on property. City planners place and inforce easements.
That said, they are ongoing, they would not be temporary or only for certain time periods.
If you need one you need to prove to your city that there is no other way to access your property other then though someone elses property.

If it is your property, yes, you can grant a temporary or periodic easement. If it is not your property, you can ask the owner to grant you the same. If it is not your property, you cannot grant the easement to yourself. That's called squatting or trespassing!
