I want to know if you take into consideration that spirit audibles or where ever EVPs come from may not know a forward and reverse or may get reversed onto a machine that records.
Do you ever play EVPs backwards to see if they sound more like real speech.
They always sound like backmasking to me. I could link to the Youtube zeppelin backwards videos, but you can look them up if you want to hear them. They sound like all of the EVPs I have heard and they are backwards.

How much manipulation of an EVP is allowable before it ceases to be a found artifact and starts to become a product of the person manipulating it? I mean, if I recorded *any* sound and I play with it long enough I can make it sound like human speech.

I guess to answer this question we have to determine what an EVP is:

Is it a spirit talking to humans? If so I don't think it should be manipulated at all. If not, then why do people claim an EVP is an answer to a question that was asked.

Is it an artifact that is "caught" by the recording device? As in, would it have been there whether the observer was present or not? If that's the case then I suppose you could manipulate it. But if that's so, then you would have to admit that asking questions of spirits is a waste of time.

So, if EVPs aren't or can't be the result of a Q&A session, then can it be argued that the spirits are unaware of the humans present? If they are conscious of the humans and they are consciously talking to the humans present, wouldn't they know we can't hear them? Wouldn't they also have more to say than just a few garbled words?

What are EVP's? Are they actually sound recordings in a range inaudible to human ears?
If so, how are they created when a "ghost" is non-corporeal, and do not posses any vocal apparatus?
Are they just energy imprints on the tape? Where do "ghosts" get such advanced knowledge of physics and electronics to do this?
If they are indeed so advanced, why are they haunting dank cellars?
If they want to be heard, why would they record backwards anyway?
And why is it that on TAPS, the EVP's only show up on the hand held recorders, but not the video's audio pick up?
Once you answer all of these, you'll be able to answer your own question.

I know from first hand experience they are NOT backwards. I have a evp it is normal speech and was captured by a ghost investigation team that came to my home. I am an empathic medium artist. Backwards? that is silly

I never run anything backwards. If it isnt right to begin with, then why try it another way. Does one think a ghost would be talking backwards? If you have to change something to create evidence, then you dont have evidence.

I think some investigators do run them forward and backwards. I haven't tried that. I think I can do it with my software, I'll have to try it.
