when i remove this plug to put a English yellow site socket on does it matter where live and neutral go in the socket. I dont know which cable is live or neutral but one has a white stripe down it (reminds me of speaker cables)

The wire connected to the wider lug is the neutral wire in North America. Your problem will be making sure you do not apply 220 volts to the 120 volt charger. The transformer in the charger is rated for 120 volts only!!!!!

I'm not familiar with what you mean by English yellow site socket but in order to plug a U.S.-made device into a European outlet you simply need a physical adapter to convert to the round pins. The adapter had no effect on polarity. Am I close at all? Sorry if I didn't understand correctly.

The PS3 helps pal and NTSC so there is fairly no longer a issue. All video games consoles run on between 8 and 12 volts by using their suitable adaptors so procuring a uk ability lead will do the trick (that black field interior the direction of the lead is a transformer right down to the amazing voltage). There is likewise actually no longer a issue with the guarantee because of the fact the Sony guarantee is international.

I never tried that. Wear safety glasses and good gloves when you plug it in.

Black is live, white (or, in your case white stripe) should be neutral.
