No. I love my parents. They spent 18 yrs worrying about me and taking care of me. I am 25 and I know they'll always be there if I need them. If people dont like them they can screw off. They are fantastic.

I would never feel ashamed going out with my parents and no one should feel that way either. Parents are very precious in this world no matter how they are. parents only want the best for their kids. My parents at least don't take their eyes off me because they want to be sure they raised an intelligent, and respectful girl. You parents may also want to feel that they are raising the best child in the world. They would never do anything to make you feel ashamed of them. Trust your parents. They are the only ones in this world that will always be by your side (for better or for worse). People may feel ashamed of their parents once in a while but they will always have a place for you in their hearts no matter what you do or say. They will always love you. Love your parents, value them, honor them, fore they will be there for you always. If they are embarrassing now it still shouldn't matter. One day they won't be here, and times you may feel lonely, but their spirit will always live in your heart where ever you go. Love them no matter what happens.

well. when I was maybe 14 or 15 and if I will go out with them and my friends.... maybe.... but I always enjoy going out with them. Now that I am 24 I love to go out with them. On my days off I meet my dad for breakfast (every Saturday, my mom works on Sat mornings) I will never miss it. I Call them every night at least to say goodnight. parent are very important and one of the only friends you will have (besides your spouse and kids)

When I was younger I never had a problem with it, I don't think it was until later jr. high (grade 9) till grade 12. Now though I don't think twice about setting up a lunch date with either of my parents. I'm 19 years old.

Not unless they do something embarassing in public. I think that it's important to spend as much time as possible with your parents esspecially when you are young because they will teach you a lot about life that will be helpful. It's also important to realize that later on in life your parents won't be there anymore and as much as you wish they are there to help you through the rough times they won't, and the more time you spend with them now will help you to prepare for the times they won't be there.

I know it's mega harsh to say it that way, but that's the way I see it.

No not really. I know that some teenagers are. But I love going out with my parents and talking. Its always fun and I really get to know them better that way. Plus they always buy me candy or ice cream on the way home =)

I used to when I was in middle school and high school. Now I'm an adult with two teens - my dad died 7 years ago. I'd give anything to go anywhere in public with him now! I miss him so much!
Value your parents - they love you - they may not seem cool right now - but imagine life without them....that should help put things in perspective.

YES! Well, maybe not ASHAMED but EMBARASSED! I'm 13 years old and they are so embarassing. I don't mind going with just my mom or just my mom and little sister but I don't know why, but I am more embarassed with the whole family.

Never. I love going out with my parents. Always have and always will. When I was a teenager my parents would come with me and friends too when we invited them. All of my friends loved my parents. Relax!
