It depends entirely on what I am watching.

If I am watching things about the manifestations of evil in society, it depresses me and makes me disgusted.

If I am watching a trivia show such as Cash Cab, etc. my mind is being excersized.

If I watch an uplifting program such as Extreme Home Makeover, I am left with feelings of hope.

If I am watching a comedy, I am amused and hopefully taking a break from the stresses of my life.

If I am watching something on the history channel, for example, that is teaching me something that I find interesting I am feeling curious and intrigued.

If I am watching something like I Shouldn't Be Alive, I feel a deeper appreciation for the opportunity to live.

For A while hubby and i had Cable (dish?) and i was not working at that time. well, i kept getting adidcted to all the new shows that were out there, the tv was on ALL the time, whether i was cleaning or cooking, or folding laundry or vacuuming, anything, the thingwas always on! so by the time hunny was home from work, i was already done with all my house stuff, i was sick of tv and wanted to go out and do stuff, well HE would then sit down and watch tv. and his fave shows. this started causing friction in the relationship and we were starting to get into alot of arguements over it. and then one day we totally lost it and both realized that we just need to get rid of it... we turned off the cable right away and even though i missed it at first, now we spend more time with EACH OTHER and not the TV!!! our thirdwheel- he he.. and we definately DONT miss it!!! (dvd player still works though)

After being at a stressful job for 9 hours straight, and then working out for 2 hours my mind and body are often exhausted.

Thus, to sit back and watch tv is relaxing. That being said, when I watch too much tv I kind of just get useless...

i like watching television particularly when i am relaxing and have nothing to do. So i always look forward to watching tele on a tiresome day.Ialso have some shows that i like, things like comedy and cartoons are my favourite though i also follow up on a selection of soapies and dvds are also ok for me as long as i know when to watch them. I prefer after work form 5 -10. But remember u have to schedule yr time well and not just be glued to the screen 24/7.One needs time for other activities but i love watching tele.

It tends to make you want to watch more tv...and that makes people lazy...it's best to watch as little as possible...zone out with the internet instead..(kidding)...stay active...reserve tv for when you need to relax.

Yes, but I think it probably effects young impressionable children.

Oh, and Micah's cousin on Heroes, who learned to make a rose out of a tomato and defend herself with that awesome wrestling move.

i really don't watch much t.v. i'm not a channel surfer, but i like dancing with the stars, ultimate fighting, football, a few sit-coms. most of the new shows look good in ads, but when you tune in they're crappy. doesn't anyone have an imagination? i like to read and listen to music.

If I watch too much I suffer from information overload and begin to feel stressed and depressed.
