So as an actress you don't subscribe to Stage magazine? You might not be looking in the right places.

So why didn't your drama school teach you how to get a job as an actor? You should ask for your money back. They could at least have had an actors' showcase for agents and casting directors. You have been ripped off.

Well, I wouldn't worry so much about the top agencies, I would go to where there is a lot of theatre being done, and contact each of the production agencies there and arrange to tryout for their company or their plays, and do that. Also I would get my resume (CV) in order, get a good head shot and submit to all the agents in the phone book or that I could find listed on the web. But don't just sit there, get up and take action. Even if you get into an amateur production, you will at least be acting and adding to your resume. and if you need a job to support yourself in the meanwhile, get one. it will also pay for professional classes which will help fill your CV.
