Talent Scouts??

Question

I live in the Seattle area...about 2 hours away. Anyway I was told by dozens of people to take my son to a talent agency or send pictures.I looked on the internet and they all want money. So I thought it was a scam. Could anyone tell me how to go about this? I am not to sure. He is 14 months old and I just wanted to send a picture or take him somewhere safe to have someone professional tell me yes or no. Please help.

OK. I did this once before and lost it before I could post it. here is what you do. You find out the names and addresses of all the agents in Seattle (web search). You eliminate Powers and Casablancas which are scams. You go get the kids photo taken and get as many 8x10's as there are agents on your list. You write a standard business letter the body of whidh is " Enclosed is a photo of my son whom I am submitting to you for representation.. I will phone your office in a couple of weeks to make sure you received it." That's all nothing more. Mail photos and letters in manila envelopes to all agents. Those you don't hear from in two weeks, you call and say,"I am inquireing to see if you received the photo of my son which I submitted for representation." Accept what ever answer you get, say, Thank you. and hand up. You will not get the photos back. If you have now signed with an agent in six months retake the photo and repeat. Good luck.
