Stress can delay ovulation, which delays your period. Once you've ovulated, though, you can't delay your period that month. Every woman has a time between ovulation and her period (luteal phase) that is consistent from month to month, no matter how long her cycle is. The only part of your cycle that can change is the beginning part, before ovulation. http://www.webwomb.com/luteal_phase_frame_page.htm
Sometimes your period will come earlier or slightly later for no identifiable reason. Most women do not have the EXACT same length of cycle every single month without any fluxuation.

In most cases later, but every woman has a different body that reacts to things in different ways. Are you worried that you are stressed or pregnant?

For me it depends. It's usually what I don't want. If I'm worried about starting my period on the last day of vacation, I'll start right in the middle of vacation. But usually it's late.

Yes stress can play a main part in how your physique services. Anytime whatever is not common, always ask your self "am i confused?" and if the answer is yes, then take a step again and simply calm down. De-stress yourself.
