I need to have the fiberglass shower cut to acess the valve and would have to use a remodel plate. I would also being changing all of the fixtures besides the valve which is leaking.

Yikes..no offense to ODD, but i hope YOU don't live in Canada.

Obviously no matter where; you can expect a TRIP CHARGE...decent would be $35 USA dollars. Then you should expect $60 per hour labor. Consumables; such as putty or teflon tape BETTER NOT be charged.

The fee certainly depends on some standard that a DECENT plumber will charge plus hardware and materials.

Without any details at all about the FIXTURES you intend; ODD might be close; but I'd be shopping for comparisons. Obviously your choice of fixtures could range from under $50, to over $500.

If a Plumber can't be out of there in less than 4 hours maybe you should look at his/her name tag for a Skull and cross bones
