I used to work at a hotel in St. Louis that had a dinner theater attached. We had celebrities there all the time.
I've met:
George Gobel
Dennis O'Connor
Peter Palmer (Li'l Abner)
Keith Hernandez
Genie Frances
Steve Landesberg (from Barney Miller)
Cloris Leachman
Johnny Bench
Pete Rose
Isaac Hayes
Adrian Barbeau
The Jacksons
Journey
The Detroit Red Wings (early 80s)

The Mamas & the Papas (w/Spanky McFarlane)
Most of them were pretty good. The best were Peter Palmer (incredibly generous), Genie Frances (very sweet) & Steve Landersberg (funny, big baseball fan).
The 2 worse, by far, were Cloris Leachman & Keith Hernandez. She thinks she's the queen and treats everyone bad. Keith Hernandez roughed a woman up while staying at our hotel.
When I lived in Mn., our examination company had a contract to collect for specimens for testing of sports athletes. I met:

Joan Cusack and her husband were in my childbirth class. She appeared to have a cold. She was sniffling and snorting. She came into the room schlepping big paper bags full of pillows and blankets (for the class).
She had on stretchy pants and a big shirt She did not look all made up..
I recogonized her immediately. Then when she introducted herself as Joan, it was confirmed. Everyone left her alone. She was very low key and "normal".
I wanted to talk to her but I figured she probably wanted to be left alone since it was a childbirthing class and she appeared to be sick. We sat not far from eachother in the cafeteria during lunch.
NO ONE talked to her! Either they didn't know who she was or they just respected her privacy. Judging by the looks on people's faces I think most people had no idea.

I met Alec Baldwin on a NYC subway train right before he became really famous and he was nice.
I met David Morse (from St. Elsewhere amoung many other TV shows and Movies) and he was sweet and shy.
There were lots others... I live in New York.

David Lee Roth in a hotel elevator in South Beach. Seemed pleasant.

Yeah, I met Gabby Hayes one time. He was drunk and his fly was open. Ain't had much use for so-called celebrities since.

I was hit on by the guy who wrote the Conan the Barbarian series. He was very drunk so I passed on the invite.
