That is a video from the show of him announcing it. He officially is gonna be running for president in 08. I am SO exited personally because he really cares about issues in America.

[Anyone who hasnt picked up on Colbert's Satirical Humor needs to understand HE IS NOT who he appears on his show. that is a continuous skit form the daily show] He is not a republican, he is a democrat. a "liberal" if you will.]

Here is colbert ROASTING geroge bush at an 06' conference

I cant explain how happy I am. These guys ACTUALLY CARE about the country. Unlike the free masons. or SKULL AND BONE, the "secret" society that Bush and Kerry were both in during their college years.

I think it is hillarious. Colbert is a riot! Of course it is all a big joke, but still, it is entertaining.

However, your assertion that the freemasons don't care about the country shows that you really don't know anything about the organization. Many of us are some of the most patriotic Americans I have ever met. While we don't discuss politics, I certainly am not happy with our current president either, and he is NOT a member of the Freemasons.

We are a fraternal organization open to all men, and we have no influence or interest in politics. Please try to stay away from the wacky conspiracy theories.

Colbert is a wicked satirist and like Pat Paulsen, in a previous generation, is pretending to run for the presidency to make a point. That all the candidates are jokers and tricksters and probably no more qualified to run than Colbert.

I remember Pat Paulsen running and he actually got alot of write in votes at the time, shows you the more things change , the more they stay the same.

that's a humorous tale. you're able to collect signatures and report with the election fee in each and every state to run. Technically you need to run in only one state yet you need to no longer develop into president that way.

Wow dude the jokes on you... he is a comedian, his caring about the issues goes as far as making jokes about them.

Ask yourself this... why would he want to change this country for the better? Without idiots like Bush and Kerry where would he get his material from hence he would be out a job.

You are slow, like a snail.

Smart as Colbert is, he's just getting publicity for his show. He's not really a candidate, he's a political spoofer. A good one, but a spoofer nonetheless.

He'll win South Carolina, but lose the presidency.

Didn't need all that info DVDR it everyday, but thanx.

He is joking. He said he was only going to run in state of SC, both Demo and Rep as a joke.

If you don't live in SC, WRITE HIM IN. Let's embarrass and damage the two evil entities in control of our country!

It's not gonna happen. You might try to vote for him, but i'm not believing it until I see his name on the ballot.

I love his show though.
