The second answer was good. Here's more details: This is governed by section 14-10-114 of the Colorado statutes and it's fairly complex. Colorado uses a specific formula: "When the combined income of the spouses is less than $75,000, the spousal support shall be equal to 40% of the higher income party's monthly adjusted gross income LESS 50% of the lower income party's adjusted gross income. if the remainder is zero or a negative, temporary maintenance shall not be awarded...If the parties' combined annual gross income is more than $75,000" temporary maintence is presumed unnecessary unless the spouse cannot care for him/herself though appropriate employment. Marital misconduct is not a factor. Child support reduces the need for spousal support Spousal support in Colorado is generally awarded only for the time necessary for a party to obtain sufficient education to find appropriate employment. The standard of living and the duration of the marriage is an important factor under Colorado law. Any disability of one spouse may change these calculations. I'm sorry this is not a simple answer, but if you google Colorado alimony, you'll get these details more fully.

Depends on what you make. The whole point of spousal support is to maintain the standard of living during the marriage. If you also make $30k, there is no advantage. If you make $100k, you will have to pay something.
You weren't married very long so even if you did have to pay her, it wouldn't be for long. The court will expect her to do what she has to do to support herself and the child. If she is capable of working, she will have to work.

you will have to pay child support and that is all, no state in the union has a rule that punishes a man for not being in love. she is capable they will tell her to get out and get a job others do it why not her. getting blood from a stone is a very hard thing to do. what happens if you were both out of work, i would quit my job rather than to pay some lazy women for sitting on her *** for the rest of her life. have a nice day get a lawyer but get a good one.
