As a transfer student this is my first semester at u of m and I am more stressed than I have every been in my college career. I am struggling just to pass my classes and I need to maintain least a 3.0 to maintain my scholarships to continue attending here. I looked at the exams the students took and their expected workload and found out that they do 1/3 of the work we do and ge t better grades?

That is because U of M is one of the top schools in the nation, they have certain requirements they have to meet to be the best. I agree, stick with it, it will be very valuable to you to have a degree from there, even if you want to move state later everyone knows U of M is a great school.

Rigor means that you learn more. Yes, you could transfer, do nothing, and end up with decent grades, but how well would you be prepared for either the work world or graduate school upon graduation. Stick with it; you will get used to the workload.

that's because a degree from U of M will do amazing things for your career! try getting a tutor, joining a study group, cutting down on extracurricular activities, etc. You got into such a great school, stick with it and you will not regret it.
