Hello there. 98 Chev Lumina 92k miles. Problem is this: I feel my wheel and accelerator pad vibrate as I'm driving at any speed, along with a low noise you can only hear well when inside the car. This will continue for about 30-40 minutes or so, and as I travel the noise and vibration will stop and the car will be pretty much running smoothly like normal. The problem doesn't affect my drivability or anything like accelerating etc. Also I cannot hear it with the hood up, seems like it is coming from somewhere below-ish on the car. I thought maybe it has something to do with exhaust cause the noise kinda sounds like one that it makes as the car is normally running only a bit louder, maybe something loose down there?. Also seems to get better if the car is in park or reverse, only when in drive will it occur, then like i said stop after awhile of driving, (I drive it several hours a day). Thanks in advance!!

Engine misfire of some sorts.

Loose spark plug wires?
Fouled spark plug?
Vacuum leak?
Worn injector?
Bad coil pack?

It's tough to say.......

The ball joint on the lateral administration arm makes the noises you defined. quite a number of the time they might get unfastened and that i think there's a existence time guarantee keep in mind on the climate whether replaced already. I even have seen 3 Eclipses with the ball joints going dry and creaking and popping on occasion. Any Mitsubishi broker could guarantee them and in the event that they grant you with a no longer uncomplicated time ask to talk with the District representative. The production unit has replaced maximum of of those lateral administration arms that I doubt in case you will possibly have difficulty, besides that's a secure practices merchandise. while they arrive aside the suspension collapses and you're able to't steer well worth a damn.

I read your words carefully at least twice, and my recommendation is to have a "seasoned" and experienced mechanic drive your car. He can tell you so much more than we can on this website by feeling the sensations first hand.
