yes. I had suicidal thoughts at one time. I didnt do it obviously however I had the chance to see what my thoughts even did to the people who care about me. I dont ever want anyone to have to go through the loss of a loved one due to suicide.

No I don't think they are selfish. Usually they are going through depression & that is not an easy thing to get out of. Not many recieve the help they need in the end & commit suicide.
On the other hand it could be selfish because of how bad they would hurt their loved ones.

I think they need to learn that life is a gift and i think its sad that their unhappy and in a way that is selfish but then again if you were so tired of living you wanted to die your last thoughts wouldnt be this is selfish isnt it i should say sorry for being selfish they do it because they have something so horrible that living and getting through it would be to hard for them.

i think they are weak, the problems ive had it would have been easy for me to commit suicide, but i battled on, its not easy but im getting there, i think they are a bit selfish because the ppl they leave behind will miss them prob, im not saying its easy to get over things when they go wrong, in some cases i agree with suicide, like terminal illnesses, thing like that.

No,not at all.Usually when someone commits suicide, they're suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, etc.I had a beautiful sister in law that committed suicide. If she would have gotten treatment for her depression, she would've been alive today.Times are different now,it use to be that if you suffered from depression the doctors would prescribe sedatives(defeats the purpose). Now they have so many different anti depressants that really work.If only there wasn't so much stigma surrounding mental health, people wouldn't be afraid to seek treatment.Hope that helps.

Yes and misguided, you see because of depression or anxiety their way of thinking is impaired and that they see death as the only way out. They are running away from the problem, which is very cowardly instead of facing it and in that way of thinking they only think of themselves.People who committ suicide are those who are oblivious of the fact that there are people who actually care for them and surely want to see them do well in life, not to see them get buried. The one most affected are the people who are close to the person especially if these people relatives, loved ones and people close to the person who died.In my opinion suicide is sad,I mourn for people whom I know committed suicide because suicide takes you staright to hell which makes me sad, kind and good people going to a place they dont deserve...sigh

kind of. They're so lost in their own pain that they can't step outside of it and see how many people they would hurt if they actually did it. I've known a few people who have committed suicide and one of them messed me up pretty bad. I'm sure I'll be a little screwed up for life because of it.

I don't think it is selfish in every case, because some people commit suicide because they have no one else. I do, however, think it is dumb, because no one is beyond saving, ever. All they need to do is ask for help.

We are all selfish. by nature....
but there is a voice , that tells us...
" Don't make so and so sad!" " they love you"
( I would never want to make my loved ones sad, or cry, or be lonely,,or not be there is they needed me)
that is my very worse fear.. big time !!!
that I would dye in a car accident, and not be there for my children,,
yes it would be selfish in my case, very selfish.
I have children, that need me, very very much !!!!!!
besides suicide is freaken STUPID !!!!!!!!! hello !!
if your gonna be selfish, why do that? do something fun, like go out and get drunk,or take a long bath, eat the last cookie, hog the remote.........(sorry I make a joke outta everything don't I ?) sorry

I guess it is a selfish thing, especially if you have family.
On the other hand, what do we truly own ourselves, if not our own life? If you're talking about euthanasia (e.g. terminal cancer, etc.) then trying to tell someone they can't commit suicide is kind of selfish because they are suffering.
I guess anyone who takes their own life must be suffering in some fashion.
