I think he choose his word wrong when he said " If we don't win, there is always next year, It's not like it's the end of the world"
As a Red Sox Fan I freakin care, Theo Epstien didn't pay your a** to say we'll get em next year... He should of said I'm goin to try my hardest and hope we beat em and if we don't, then we'll make sure we get em next year...
His comment wasn't right? Anyone Agree...

LOL. Oh lord. Let's say the Red Sox get beat today and they're out of it. Guess what, tomorrow morning at 7am you STILL HAVE TO GO TO WORK. Then you have to go pick up the kids. Then you have to go get dinner, put them to bed catch the highlights on Sportscenter and do it all over again the next morning.
And what if the Red Sox recover and win the World Series. Guess what happens after the last game? You're still doing the same routine! Your life doesn't change. You're still a nobody in this world that gets worked up over something a "somebody" said!

He's right. It's not the end of the world. Consider this: Does Manny play on the field support a "don't care" attitude? Come on people. If Manny hits homeruns, or does whatever he does best, who cares about some comment? This man is a pro athlete playing a simple game. "A game." That's all it is. Although some of us try to make it something more than that.

I think Manny does care .. It's just that he doesn't speak English well or doesn't know how to express himself.
BUT .. I also feel that like many professional players..they don't care
Really, when you're getting paid millions and millions of dollars a year PLAYING a sport how are you a loser?
I'm not saying they don't care but when it comes down to it, it's the end of the season, they go back home and chill for the winter, hang out, spend money, vacation, relax and bang as many models as they can .. Who does care?
To these guys it's not all that serious .. at least to some it is. But really, who cares?
Well, us fans do but he's just expressing what most players feel ... "Hey! I'm rich. I gave it my best and if we lose, we lose. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it. We won 3 years ago so who cares?"
Ahhh! Honesty.

I agree, remember, Manny does not put his heart into the game, and he is with the Red Sox for the money and nothing else. It is sad to kick a team that's already down, but Manny either does not care about the game, or he is just frustrated. He is not used to be shut down by excellent pitching and he is not as productive as he used to be.

Haha, this guy is a disgrace to the Boston Red Sox franchise. He is not a team player and he only cares about himself. He looks like a slob. I'm glad we (Cleveland) got rid of his ***. He's too high maintenance. Terry Francona could spend every day of the week catering to his needs. You'd think he was a pregnant woman.

I hate to break it to you but he was only telling the truth. I think he will still try but they have next year if they don't make it, and it's not the end of the world. People are stressing over this WAY too much.
