That will work. I love Halloween and the years I stay home I really enjoy the little kids coming by for candy, they are so cute. Other years I have gone out to parties and always have a good time getting dressed up. I'm sorry you don't like Halloween, it can be alot of fun!

Another trick for the poor/cheap is to leave out a bowl or bucket with a sign that says "please take one", but just don't fill it with any candy (or, if you can afford it, just buy one $2 bag of candy to put in it). Kids who come to your door will think that other kids who got there first took it all and didn't leave any for other kids.
If you go to the dollar store, there's lots of candy options that are cheap.
You could try turning off your lights, but kids will most likely still ring your doorbell.
Good luck!

Don't be home? haha just turn out the lights and leave a note saying you're sorry for being a pumkin pooper on Halloween, or leave a plastic pumpkin outside empty, usually trick-or-treaters will get the idea you don't have any more candy.

Only you know if you're cheap...I don't like to pass out candy 'cuz it drives my dog nuts ALL evening. I just give a bowl to my neighbor to pass out for me (she's a geek & thinks it's fun) then I turn off all my lights. MY house does tend to get egged though, so lights really are a better deal

Go trick or treating early and then return home and give out the candy you recieved. You get the best of both worlds. I wouldn't do this but I know poor people who have and it is a solution to your question.

That's what people usually do is turn off their lights..
Or actually go out..because then you won't have to listen to the kids knocking all night.

quit being cheap, you probably went trick or treating, just think of it as paying back society for the candy you got as a kid
