It's black mold on a white wooden window sill that's in my shower.

Use a 10% bleach solution. That's 1 part of bleach to 9 parts of water. Spray or heavily sponge this onto the sill, and check every 5-10 minutes. When the stains are gone, rinse with water. You might need to reapply. The stains should disappear, if they are surface stains. If the stains are heavy, you may need to scrub them with a nylon brush and/or some sort of soap (the soap you use to bathe would be fine--don't mix bleach with household cleaners--check labels).

To stay on the safe side, get a jug, or two, of JOMAX from either Lowes or Home Depot. Get also some of their strongest bleach and mix as directed.

That solution can be sprayed with a normal pump up garden sprayer. Let that sit on the house for about 10-15 minutes (and do not do this on a very hot day), and then just spray it with a garden hose.

If you are doing this on the inside, get some rubber gloves and wipe the solution on with a sponge, and wash it off.

Try bleach in an area that is not noticeable. If this works then continue. If not then check with your local paint store, for a recommendation.

bleach it, scrub it and if that doesn't work you may have to sand it down past the paint and bleach that wood with half bleach and half water. Or you can buy KILTZ paint that covers it and kills it, also its white. Good luck, oh and you can get that from any paint store.

you would sand the wood down than spray with bleech. than repaint. Make sure you wear a mask as you can get very sick being in contact with mold and you don't want to breathe it in. You can pick mask up at Walmart ect.

I would sand it down really good and then get some Terrific 10 cleaner or Greased Lightening and clean it with that.

Good luck.
