Rainbird and Hunter are the two most widely used in commercial installations.

I used to specify Rainbirds for most of my projects. After testing both at my house and comparing them to Hunter, I've switched to the Hunter sprinklers. Their spray heads have a better design for the seal (don't leak from the cap if loose) and the ratchet is better, plus they have a stronger spring (better retraction so they don't stay up and get hit by the mower), and they are a little less money too.

Toro used to be one of the best, but when they forced the company founder to retire against his will, he left and took his pattents and started Hunter Industries. Toro has gone down hill since, in my professional opinion.

I would suggest using the Hunter SRS. The Hunter Pro-Spray is more heavy duty but costs a bit more. The Hunter Institutional Spray (it has a 5 year warranty) has a built in pressure regulator that prevents misting if the pressure is too high, but they are even more money.

For larger areas, you may want to use MP Rotator nozzles (Hunter has bought out the company who created them) on the Pro-Spray or SRS heads. You can throw up to 30 feet with the 3000 series so you will need about half as many heads than if you use sprays (15 feet spray throw) and they are cheaper than a rotor. They have a lower precipitation rate (comparable to a rotor or about 1/3 that of a spray head) so you should zone them separate (on a different valve from the spray heads) since they will need to run 3 times longer to put down the same amount of water per square inch of lawn.

Choosing sprinklers is like buying a car. You are usually better off spending a little more up front to get a good reliable product instead of going cheap, and having it in the shop all the time bleeding your wallet dry!

Rainbird is a trusted name in sprinklers. It is also easy to get any parts you may need in the future. If you save a couple bucks now, you will probably spend twice that much later to solve problems.

that must be one extensive field. What you want is a nutrition-grade field. you do not want one that held chemical ingredients, soaps, and so on. It additionally must be very sturdy and proof against UV rays. then you definately could positioned a spigot into it and assorted different diversifications in accordance on your desires. The above factors are why human beings spring for the objective-built rain barrels, even regardless of the shown fact that they fee some distance too a lot. you could build one your self, besides the shown fact that it has constantly looked like purely too a lot paintings to me.
