His comments are the perfect example of why i say players of yesteryear had more heart & passion than todays' spoiled overpaid wusses of today.

MLB is a company. The Yankees offered Damon greater money and he took it, so might everyone else. i think of that's genuine dumb while followers try this to former gamers. This additionally handed off with Jermaine Dye in Oakland, he helped them get to the playoffs virtually single handedly. the subsequent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days he signed with the White Sox, and the A's followers booed him while he got here back to play them. The A's did not even supply him a settlement. So do not boo or call the participant a traitor till you comprehend the finished deal. I rather have a question for individuals who study this. in case you worked for Chevron and made $a hundred,000 a 300 and sixty 5 days, the won a job supply from Shell for $a hundred and fifty,000 a 300 and sixty 5 days, might you reside or bypass? in case you're saying bypass to shell you do not have any room to call everyone a traitor because of the fact all Johnny Damon and the different loose agent does is bypass to who will pay greater. in case you're saying which you may stay, you're a liar.

It's just how the modern player is, that's all...especially the modern player who has been fortunate enough to be on a World Series winning team in the course of his career.
In a sense, he is right - if they lose, it really isn't the end of the world. Fans are the ones who tend to live and die with results, so as long as players, themselves, can take on even a quasi-philosophical approach, then maybe people can understand that playing an entire season and meeting major expectations week in and week out isn't as simple as the average rooter may believe.
Besides, if Boston does lose, it's not as if Manny, himself, would place a gun to his forehead and pull the trigger, right?

If I hear "Manny being Manny" one more time, I'm gonna puke. This guy is a disgrace to the Boston Red Sox franchise. He is not a team player.

Manny also says he wants to be traded 6 times every season, then 5 days after saying so he says he loves Boston. Who cares what he says as long as they win tonight, which they will

Of course he said that. He doesn't really care about winning, he just wants to pump his fists in the air again after he homers to bring his team within 15. He's a cool guy, that Manny.
