Most of your "European" brand dishwashers recommend a powder detergent ONLY in the use and care manuals. If you have an American brand dishwasher like whirlpool, GE or Maytag etc. you can use gel. The tablets tend to suds up allot and then cause leaking. If you pre-rinse your dishes and do not have allot of food soils on your dishes when they go in you can try using only a half full or less in the detergent dispenser. Most dishwasher today use much less water so if you use too much soap it causes sud-sing since there is not as much water to dissipate the soap. You will also need to use a surfactant, that is the "jet dry" in the smaller reservoir in the detergent dispenser.. Good luck.

I am not familiar with either of those brands. What can happen when using the cheaper brands is that they do not dissolve completely and the grit can scratch your glasses and probably do not help the discharge pump either. It is like running sand through the unit.

Your probably right that the engineer is getting a bonus, it doesn't matter what tablets you use, but most important is dishwasher salt, and a good quality rinse aid. Also make sure you clean your filters regularly

do not positioned dishwasher cleansing pills in there. It won't injury it, besides the shown fact that it won't dissolve each and every of how. the only difficulty i might have with the vinegar is the scent might get on your outfits once you wash them after cleansing the bathing gadget.

I don't know what Sun or Finish is but you live in Ireland. I use Cascade Orange. I love them, they clean, dry and leave a nice shine. Don't forget the stuff you put in the thingee that helps dry your dishes, the liquid stuff you put in there once a month.
