During the 1980's, having been toppled by the Vietnamese forces, the Khmer Rouge, aided and abetted by the Thai military, the CIA and MI6, carried out a vicious and barbaric guerrilla war against a provisional government which was largely backed by many Cambodians. The strategy was known as 'bleeding the Vietnamese white' within the White House.
