I have grown up as a kid watching them on TV. It was the only hockey games on in my area.

Why? Well, when I was kid, I used to like the Habs, cuz where I come from everybody loves them! But it all change the day I discovered Brodeur! I thought that he was the greatest goalie ever, I still think that by the way! And cuz I like him, well I started to like the team and to know all of the players and stuff...so that's why I like them! And they've been my favorite team since I was around 10 years old, which is about 10 years ago!

New York Rangers. I am a Ranger fan because I live in New York. Also, because Mark Messier is my all time favorite player and captain. He is one of the greatest captains of all time. He guaranteed victory and played a huge role in the Rangers 1994 Stanley Cup Championship, and thus killing "The curse of 1940", in the process. If it wasn't for Messier, Leetch, Richter, Graves, etc. the opposing teams fans would chant "1940". I am also a Rangers fan because they are an original six team. I am a die hard Ranger fan for life.

Dallas Stars. My dad used to work as an off ice official for the team, and he would take me to the games when I went to see him.
The Wild come in a close second, since I live in Minnesota.
Van G, Ed Belfour isn't with the Stars anymore. I'm not complaining that you like them, but what's your reasoning since Belfour isn't with them anymore?

LITY - I remember the Flying Fathers. They used to play charity matches across North America I believe. Do they still play?

They've had some lean years lately, but my favorite team is the Bruins. I grew up watching them and going to games with my dad. When I first started watching them, their goalies were Rogie Vachon and Marco Baron. If anyone out there remembers those guys, I'm impressed!

NY Islanders... because I grew up in upstate NY and didn't want to be like everyone else who was either a Rangers or Sabres fan. Plus Pat Lafontaine was one of my favorite players even after his jaw was broken in several places and he had his brains scrambled a few times with concusions.
