Ok, i have to do a Social Studies presentation for school. It has to be a current event that has happened since August of '07. The event has to be related to social studies. My teacher said that we can add extra things such as models, clothing and food to help grab the audiences' attention. Can you help me find a current event?
Thanks so much!

"California Burning" as it has been dubbed. The forest fires in the south west.
Your imagination can run riot as far as grabbing interest is concerned.

the immigration controversy seems to have a lot of people's attention. i think you could relate it to social studies especially if you do like a compare/contrast on different points of views. i was watching CNN last night and there was a lot of immigrants sharing their stories on how they got to the US and how long they have been here. maybe u could start your presentation with a good story and kind of have a class debate about it. at least that would make it interesting...good luck!
