Oil Corporations

No one litterally owns the government, but the system is open enough to corruption that it's possible to wield quite a bit of influence over it. Of those three, I'd say it's currently a close race between the two business interests for who garners the most influence.

If you could total up campaign contributions by each, the one that contributes the most would arguably have bought the most 'access.' But, of course, that doesn't count more traditional forms of bribery, blackmail, etc...

If you don't want to limit yourself to those three factions, though, I'd say it's the media elites (distinct from those corporations that happen to employ them), that really wield the most influence. No matter how much money you have in your campaign warchest, the wrong kind of media attention can end your career.

The Federal Reserve.
A private group of international bankers. In which print our money were there is no more gold and silver to back it up.
They print what they want loan it to governments with a nice interest rate. This isnt the only country they rule, try Italy,France, Germany,UK,Australia, well you get the idea. The government and the media are both in control of their agenda. Look, listen and learn. Use the internet for research now before the internet2 comes our way and it will be new and improved with custom fcc regulations and all the propaganda your heart can handle.

conspiracy talk... geeezzz... look, it's not what you think.. it is true that lobbyists in washington sway some of our politicians to make choices based on business rather than based on the opinions of their constituents for the better of the country as a whole... i assume that's where this can be derived from. but, to say that our democratically elected government is "owned" by anyone is ridiculous.. i agree something has to be done about lobbyists... i see no positive reason for them to be there... but, if you don't like what you see in your government... you have the power of voting... and voicing your opinions... call your rep.. vote in every election... make your voice heard... until you do all the above, ya can't complain... that's how democracy works. majority rule. and if the majority is complacent, then so is the government.

as far as oil companies and their "insane" profits... that's ridiculous too.. look at the pump.. look at the taxes.. the percentage of profit on gasoline is far less than many of the items we buy.. the reason they make so much money is quantity... not because of the profit margin.. it's a business.. and a business is in the business of making money..

It is what we allow.

If people actually voted with an ounce of truth (instead of party lines) this might not be an issue.

Vote for some one who wants term limits.

The lawyers. It's true, look it up. They get themselves elected to right the laws to make themselves, and their partners, rich.

At least oil companies make something useful.

Another anti-Israel rant. What is with these people? Don't they have something better to do?

Wrong again. No one owns the US government. Abe Lincoln said it best. Unless you can prove otherwise, his words still stand.
You are always making up things that are no true.
