I became a born again Christian when I was 17 and I still consider myself to be so even though I've finally accepted that I am gay. I told my sister last month who's also born again. she didn't even try to argue the 'religious' stance with me because she knows fine well that I know it back to front.
I'm gay and have been basically all my life but I've ran from it and been deeply in denial for 20-odd years. I can't believe that my God will send me to hell simply because I love a woman and not a man which creates a bit of a dilemma inside my tiny brain but like everyone else, I'll have to wait to find that out.

My sister and i were raised in a very open, supporting environment and were encouraged to pursue our own religious belief system. I spent a few years involved with a Southern Baptist Church just before I came out... it turned out to be an unpleasant experience, and I never became involved with Christian churches again. Being told I was less of a person because of whom I am attracted to is unacceptable.
As an adult, I have found my spiritual path in Wicca (and my sister found hers in Buddhism). I've come to find that The Earth is my Church. There is only one "commandment" to strive for, and that keeps me moral, honest, and content.

i am religious and i accept the basic principles of most religions (i think we're all following pretty much the same religions cuz most religions have the same basics, the same bones)
anyways, i'm religious regardless of the way people use religion to excuse hate. i don't blame religion for the stupid things people say/do.

Do you mean like having your religion, or a spokesperson for it [Ratzinger], say that by being LGBT you are "intrinsically evil"?
Note that he is now the pope.
This has not stopped me from continuing to be spiritual, but I refuse to support a hierarchy that describes people as being "evil" just for being the way that God created them.

I was raised Anglican, but at 14 became Pagan ~ specifically Wiccan.
I'm bi ~ and find Wicca to be a wonderfully accepting religion.

I'm Episcopalian, my life partner is Correllian Nativist Church. Our faith traditions push for social and economic justice for all people, and help inform us of the struggle for justice and to help others that we consistently and actively engage in.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

I am very religious.
I am a Christian.
I am a lesbian.
And I have had no problems with coming to terms with that.
I guess other people have, though.
Too bad!

Well, I used to be a catholic before. I am still spiritual but I don't believe I have to belong to Church to have a relationship with God.
