Those sorts of dreams are normal during pregnancy. I had a dream that my husband and I cut the baby out of my stomach with a steak knife because we wanted to see if it was a boy or girl...first it was a boy, then it was a girl, and then it turned into a little bunny rabbit in the palm of my hand. We decided it was too early for the baby to be out, so we put it back in my abdomen and stitched up the cut...no pain...weird, huh? I have also had recurring dreams of my husband being the one to give birth, which makes me mad, because I was the once who carried the baby. heh heh...These are just dreams, and if your pregnancy is healthy so far, then there is no reason to think anything will be wrong.

Good luck to you, and don't worry. Talk to your doc if it still bothers you.

Its just a dream. I had a dream that my baby was going to be a girl and guess what! I have a son not a daughter. Dreams are just that, dreams. But babies have been born at 24 weeks and lived. That's the earliest i know of.

The earliest they will even consider life saving methods is about 24 weeks. I have had a preemie and I assure you it is a scary rollercoaster. Your dreams may just be anxiety and perhaps if you share these with your doctor/obgyn/doula/provider they may be able to waylay these fears. If things do go south and you have a preemie remember these two rules, girls do better than boys because of lung development and two, there are great neonatologists out there.

Good luck! And dont sweat it too much, you are more than half way.

think positively and take good care of yourself.

my daughter was born at 31 weeks. it was scary in the beginning but she's a healthy 5 1/2 months old now. so to ease your mind, if for some reason, your baby is born early there are amazing doctors to help your baby!

You're just a week ahead of me. My docs are inducing me at 35 weeks. Anything before 37 is considered pre-term, but by 34-35 most babies are able to breath on their own, etc. Check out the march of dimes website for info on premature babies.

I'm sure you'll be fine. Dreams are crazy things.

My little sister was born 2 and half months early. She had a lot of health problems when she was born. But is prefectly healthy today. But that was back in 1979 so a lot has changed from then.

it really depends how you're doing in the pregnancy. Usually it can be 2 weeks before till 2 weeks after your due date (after that it's not safe and usually induce you). If your doctor says your baby is doing fine and growing normally I wouldn't worry about it.
