22 years in Congress is more than enough time served for anyone.

Hastert is a Congressman not a Senator. I wouldn't be surprised at over half of the GOP either not running or are avoiding Bush like the plague if they are running. Like it or not he is bad for business if you are a Republican politician. Regardless whether you believe he has failed or not. He is seen as undesirable to be around or to support fully.

It isn't just Bush's failures, the entire stated policy of the Republican party is in retreat. Between their failures of policies and the large number of them caught in corruption or sex scandles in the past few years, it would take an utter moron to vote for them or give them money. Why do you think that Mitt Rmoney is financing his own campaign? Hillary Clinton has raised more money from American citizens than all of the Republican candidates put together, and so has Obama.

Republicans can't raise gas money, let alone enough to run for reelection. It is pretty ironic since their policies is what has made gas prices so high.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED??

You are wrong again. First, Mr. Hastert is not a Senator. He is a representative. There are no senators under stress, unless you can prove otherwise.
Mr. Bush does not have any failures.
People resign from Congress for all kinds of reasons.
Unless you can show where Mr Hastert is stressed, you cannot assume that to be the case.

Hastert is quitting early so he can begin his nationwide tour of food eating contests. He really missed out this year. Some amateur kid won the hot dog eating contest and Hastert could have taken him easy. Of course it could also be he is one of the final rats to jump ship, its just taken him longer to get his lard butt overboard.

Im sure the number is huge. Hell even Mr. Gop himself, Rush Limbaugh has admitted to ceaseless towing of the BushCo line.

They're all tired. Dems aren't the only ones looking forward to Bush's exit.

I would say the number is high. Bush has not failed
on everything but has on the major issues like
immigration. He has now embarked on giving
the UN more control over US sovereignty which makes me furious. ( L.O.S.T. for example). Like his father, the true liberal colors are showing. Now we have the new disease from illegals. No excuse people for not slamming the borders shut.
