I've heard this and would like to know if it's just a rumor.

It's a rumor. It's been circulating for over 5 years now. They would not base a move that significant on the results of one year's ticket sales and/or losses.
And based on how well the Saints did last year, I think that rumor has actually died down.

Yo no quiero Los San Antonio Santos....
It was almost a done deal just after Katrina. I have been a fan all 40 years of the franchise and I certainly dont want to see them leave. Maybe they could move them to Baton Rouge and play in Tiger Stadium until they build a new place if Benson is determined to leave. I believe its just a rumor now, hopefully they stay right where they are.

NO NO and NO the saint have a protracted historical previous in New Orleans and if any city have been to get a NFL team it would in all likelihood be in L.A. witch may be a unhappiness yet i assume San Antonio may be great

This season's result wouldn't effect whether or not New Orleans decides to move. I doubt they will, the city is rebuilding and although I think the owners might make a little more cash in the short term moving to San Antonio, they wont make more money in the long term so I think they'll stay.

it's a rumor to this point, but to point out someone else's short sight...
san antonio is #7 most populous city in the US.
n.o. being #38. (2005 numbers on both) - that's a pretty lousy base to draw fans from.
would there be a more loyal group of fans...nah, one thing is for sure, the fan base in NO follow their team(with or without bags on their heads).

Rumor,the lawsuits would stacked up so high against it that they would plug up the judicial process for years,the people of New Orleans would revolt

They'll probably move regardless. The Superdome sucks and the city is in shambles.
I don't know how well San Antonio could support an NFL team, however.
