What is the longest you tried to conceive?

Me and my DF been trying since June 2007 and it seems like it is never going to happen. My periods are pretty regular between 26-30 day cycles (average 28 days).

my dh and I have also been trying since June. I know exactly how you feel, its very irritating to get that BFN every month. Dont lose hope though, keep trying, some women have been trying for years.
good luck-

DH and I have been ttc #1 now for 15 months. I had regular 28 day cycles each month but through charting found out I wasn't ovulating each cycle and when I did ovulate it was late in my cycle and caused me to have a short luteal phase (<10 days and you need around 12 or 14 days to conceive). This was caused by low levels of progesterone that my doctor determined through bloodwork. So if you know you are having sex during your fertile period I would try a few more months and then start talking to your doctor.

You have only been trying to conceive for 5 months now... and that is pretty normal. Couples can take up to 1 year. I have been trying for 17 months... so don't give up (5 months is nothing.) Good luck!

My hubby and I tried for 2 yrs 3 months before I got pregnant with our first! I'm not due till 11/20/07!!! I don't mean to sound rude but, don't be so impatient!! It's only been 5 months! I wish it had just taken us only 5 months to get pregnant! I'm sure you'll get pregnant sometime soon! Just stop worrying and everything will fall into place! That's how it happened for me! My hubby and I just quit trying and it happened 2 months later!!!! Good luck...

i've been trying for 3 years with a couple of breaks and still not pregnant. 5 months is not that long at all to be worring about that. For the average healthy couple, it can take 6 mos to a year.

DH and I tried for seven months (six cycles) before finally getting our BFP. I'm about 4 weeks pregnant so it just happened!

Are you doing ovulation testing or anything like that to pinpoint ovulation? Its better to either use ovulation test strips or chart your BBT temp instead of assuming when you ovulate.

You really haven't been trying that aweful long, I'm sure you'll get your BFP real soon!!!

Good luck and baby dust!!

We have been ttc #1 for 18 months. I've had two corrective surgeries (narrow cervix & blocked tubes) and our fertility dr is going to due an IUI next month. My cycles are regular too.

Try doing cervical positioning checks. I was trying to get preggers for almost two years. I started monitoring my cerivical positioning and got pregnant right away. Good Luck
