We're having a girl! I'm 29 weeks pregnant tomorrow! We can't think of names to save our lives! Please help. The only name that my husband and I have remotely agreed on is:

Caroline

We love the older, feminine names.

We like using family in the names but can't think of any cute names to go with these:

Father-in-Law: Danny
Mother-in-Law: Vickie Jo
Father: Steven
Mom: Phyllis

Grandparents:
Seraphino Frank
Betty
Percy
Cora Belle
Helen
Doyle
Juanita

I love the name Caroline. If you want to honor family, how about:

Caroline Victoria
Caroline Stephanie
Caroline Danielle
Caroline Phyllis

Caroline is a lovely classic, though it seems it may be more a starting point than an end result for you (since you don't seem to be in love with it).

You also have plenty of great options using family names, or forms of them.

Danica - not technically related to Daniel, resemblance aside, but if his given name really is "Danny," well that doesn't seem as imperative anyway. ;)

Victoria - again, the formal version seems to better fit your preference for older/classic, feminine names, but still an obvious nod to "Vickie Jo."

Josephine/Josephina - ditto, for Jo. Nickname Josie is sweet.

Seraphina - a beautiful feminine form of Seraphino with plenty of versatility. She could use Sera, Seri, Sadie or Phina/Fina as a pet form. ;)

Frances, Francine or Francesca (for Frank).

Elizabeth/Elisabeth, Beatrice or Beatrix (for Betty).

Cora, Coral, Coralie or Cordelia (for Cora).

Belle, Bella, Isobel, Isabella, Annabel, Arabella, Claribel or Norabel (for Belle).

Helen, Helena, Helene, Ellen, Elena or Ilona (for Helen). Eleanor or Elinora would be a more loosely-related option (technically different origins, but often associated regardless).

Jane, Sian (SHAN), Siobhan (shi-VAWN) or another feminine form of John (for Juanita).

Others that simply might be your style, judging from classic, feminine Caroline:

Charlotte
Ruby
Alice
Millicent
Matilda
Mary
Iris
Clara
Daisy
Lillian/Lillias/Lily
Lila(h)
Nora(h)
Margaret
Gretchen/Greta
Dorothy
Daphne
Penelope
Eloise
Pearl/Perla
Scarlett
Tess
Vivian/Vivienne
Violet/Viola

Hope that helps. ;)

I am 30 weeks pregnant Saturday. I'm having a little boy :) If we would have had a girl we were going to name her Elizabeth Marie and call her Lizzie. Elizabeth is a very classic name. Hope I helped!

What about Cora Lee?

I like Cora, that sounds like an old name and I love Lee. She may have problems all her life with people wanting to spell it with a K. so what I did was named my children NO ONE could misspell.

I like:

Brandy
Kayla
Mandy
Ashley
Dionne
Kaye
Katie of course
Sofia
Sonia

just to name a few...some good middle names I like are:

Anne
Cory is great Cory Anne?
keep the middle name kind of short.

Think of your favorite movies, favorite movie stars names, My mother named my sister after one of her favorite soap opera's name.
Hey Ericka?

Good luck and Congrats....One very important word of advise....please...

My full legal name...NO ONE can pronounce it correctly according to the way my mother said she named me.

I learned in the second grade, the spelling of my name was not the correct pronunciation. I have had problems ALL of my life, so I made my name short.

My mother is wrong, but I can't tell her that. she named me what she thought is sounded like, so please don't make the same mistake when naming your baby. I've been told I have a lovely name, but what good is it when I only use it on legal documents???

The name I would chose would be ALANA. Why? Because it sounds different, unique, and comforting(to me).The name sounds very cute, an older name on a baby is a good idea because then the name sounds cute. I hope I was a good help at least. Congratulations on your child.
