Please does evil exist??? NB: everything that exist has some being in some form. we experience evil in the abscence of goodness.

This is the way I see it................our perception of evil is derived from our view of life. If we believe, for example, that all babies are sweet and innocent, and deserving of the best we can give them, then we view it as evil when babies are deliberately harmed in some way. So, What is evil? Here is my example of ultimate evil: I read about an incident during WWII in one of Hitler's death camps when S.S. troops had truckloads of babies and young children dumped alive into burning, gasoline-filled trenches. Some of the children were, in their agony, able to pull themselves out of the trenches, but were pushed back into the flames by S.S. troops using long poles.

Ezekiel - Does evil exist? I have heard several reasons for the existence of evil. Everything in the universe has a duality (two-sided), for example: up/down, in/out, light/dark, male/female, etc.
How could we know 'joy' if we did not have 'pain' to compare it with? Yes, evil exists, too, it is the opposite of goodness.

There really wouldn't be one without the other. I don't think it is so much of an evil, just a lack of understanding. We do not accept things that seem bad in our eyes to happen. For instance to kill would be considered evil to us. But animals do it for survival everyday and we don't consider that evil it is just part of life's cycle.

yes in some ways. Like a person can be good to the world, but you don't see him everyday, he could also be evil in closed doors. Another person would be evil to the world, but on closed doors he would be good. Good vs. evil. There will always be good and evil, can't conquor it. It's like the sun vs moon...light and day. There will always be those sides. If not, the world would be so boring. Well have a good day! ;D

I wouldn't agree that evil is the absence of good. There is good will--good, and ill will--evil, then there's just no will--neither good nor evil. I think evil definitely exists cuz people do things just to spite others or just to be *******, or even just really wanna hurt someone.

well if you are saying that evil is the absense of good then I bet a lot of people are part evil and some are a lot evil
