the actual first one...dont say it was Oklahoma! because Broadway was bulit in the late 1800s.

"The Black Crook" is generally accepted as the first modern musical (billing itself as a 'musical comedy'). It opened on Broadway in September 1866.

It was The Black Crook (1866) which incorporated a stranded company of British dancers into a mellodrama, and set a record for longest run on Broadway. Look for info on it at Wikipedia.
