Well the guy i like is always acting stupid with his friends and stuff and i dont know if he really is or hes just acting to get attention. Like he acts the same way with everyone and i worry if he will act like that if something happens between us. HELLPPPP PLEASEEE!!!

Does he act that way when you are alone with him? If he does he is stupid and needs some attention you are probably not qualified to give him.

People act stupid for a number of reasons -- one being to get attention. Another is being uncomfortable and not knowing how to deal with situations. Young boys or teens are going through their own changes and are often unsure of how they should act or behave. How do you deal with what's happening? Everyone deals with things in their own way. Real men don't kiss and tell and real women don't blab either. However, boys will be boys and they do brag about their conquests and even embellish when they haven't been able to perform properly. So, I would say, take things slow and easy and don't do anything you are unsure about until you both grow up and understand the consequences of your behaviors.

I had a bf like that, exactly and yes it did ruin us. e was a completely different person around other people and friends. It was because he felt insecure with who he really was, and even though I loved him for him deep down, he couldn't love himself. He needs to have better self confidence to get past this. It will take a lot of growing up too, so if you try to boost his self esteem, maybe he will see himself the way you do. If that doesn't work, you can always video record him and let him see how he has been acting for himself, maybe he will be even more ashamed and change.

My guess is, he's probably putting on a show b/c that's what guys do! Either way, you need to find out for sure if he is capable of being serious before you commit any further; you don't want a man you acts or is stupid, this will cause problems in any relationship.

hmmm.. actually, the answers lies in you, how long do you know him? if he you know him like forever and he's really like that, then it means he's really stupid, but if you've known him like just not too long ago, why not observe it, and if you've known him a little while, just get to know him more.. people may act stupid to seem funny, deny knowing the truth, for fun or maybe they're just really stupid.. but i think God does not create stupid people, maybe they're just slow.. i mean, follow your instincts, sometimes you can detect it too if he's playing stupid right? me, i can sometimes detect if he or she is playing dumb, and i tell him don't act stupid i know you know it, then he or she will deny it, but i think you can feel if his stupidity is real.. if something happens between the two of you, like he acted stupid, why did you answer him or flirted with him if you're afraid that he might act stupid, you should have accepted him, of what he is.. something like that.. it really depends to you,, follow your instincts.. something like that,, and playing stupid can't be helped i think, sometimes..

If you hate the way he acts, you don't like him. You like the idea of him. If something happened between you two, he would act exactly the same and you couldn't change him. Find someone that you actually really do like to fixate on.

I think it's because they want attention. My friends are like that.. It's all just a game to them to get attention. He's not really stupid.
