Don't you watch the news about the 12 year old girls giving BJ's to the whole Basketball team in the back of the bus? Oh yeah - they're that young.

I also agree that by passing out birth control they are not necessarily teaching these kids what they need to know. At that age they should be teaching abstinence and the consequences if they have sex. I'm afraid by doing this they are saying its okay to have sex to these 11 and 12 year old girls. The kids who aren't having sex are going to start having sex. Also are they teaching them about protection from STD's because in my opinion just the pill isn't enough.

Of course most parents don't want their children have sex at 11 or 12, or even 16. But you can't be with them 24/7. If they're going to have sex I'd rather them use birth control.

My stepson is 13 and at least 5 different girls call him every night. Children these days are starting out a lot younger than we did.

You would be surprised. Kids have been having sex forever. We can't stop them, but we can prevent them from the consequences (i.e. babies) that would ruin their lives at that age. Because parent's certainly aren't setting better examples or in forcing stricter morals or rules, the very least they can do is provide their kids with adequate protection. Be glad that the schools are stepping in and doing this. At least someone should.

Because of all of the synthetic hormones we give to cows and chickens, there are many little girls getting their periods as early as 7 (seven) years old... Is she ready to be a parent???

Would you rather them NOT have access to birth control?

Good luck. We can stop them from doing drugs too.
