She is really turning into a grown up girl now and I don't want to get her toys anymore. She is my friends daughter that I am real close to. I would like to stay around $40-$50.

Get her an electronic. Like a little ipod or cd. At that age I would say a gift card though. Let her pick out her own clothes, makeup, cd, movie.

OK, at 9 she is too old to want to "play make up" so that is out, electronics are good but she probably has a CD player or even an mp3 player, if not that would be a nice gift. Something that I think is fun, take her out and get her nails and toes done, its special for grown ups to do that and she can show them off to her friends. Or you could take her out on a "date" to pick out something and spend some alone time with her.

I babysit a 9 365 days previous woman and shes crafty so she loves scrapbooking stuff, so that you may want to get a scrapbooking kit. i'm no longer particular what she is rather into regardless of the truth that. Hannah Montana become massive. i'm no longer particular if it really remains each and every of the fashion. Or outfits. skinny jeans. She looooves her skinny jeans and residences, haha. properly strong luck:)

I think that a few brushes and a makeup case with some blush, light lipstick and perfume will do the trick and maybe sone bubble bath-grown up kind

When I was young my aunt gave me a very nice and expensive necklace. That gift made me feel responsible and grown up and special. So try something like jewelry, something breakable, and something beautiful just like her.

Lip gloss, nail pollish, CD, DVD,or take her to the beauty shop to get her hair "done" Don't forget toys, she is still a little girl. Sometimes we think they are more mature than they really are.

Buy her an Ipod.
One with not a lot of space is usually around $40.

A subscription to a magazine that she may
like. (Age appropriate of course)

Passes to a movie or place she would like to visit. (She can take a friend)

A large Boquet of flowers, sure it won't last forever but doesn't every girl deserve flowers, especially "grown up" ones?
