Surely she has more things to worry about than what the public thinks about her. Who cares if she is skinny? Perhaps its the lack of emotion that people dont take to?

The McCanns were neglectful and should be prosecuted for child neglect at the very least - funnily enough, their appearance is nothing to do with it; it's the fact that they left their children unattended which as a loving and responsible parent I have never done and would never do so. Children are too precious, and even if you rule out abduction; they could have woken up crying, vomited, fallen out of bed - pretty much anything.

I suspect this latest complaint about lack of sympathy is a ploy to try to distract people from the accusations of murder and to try to incite some sympathy and more media attention.

Personally, she could be the size of a house with double G boobs and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to me. Neglect is still neglect, no matter what you look like or what class of person you are.

I read a really disturbing article in the Mail through a link that was posted here earlier.

Whoever the columnist was basically concluded that Kate was a suspects because the wife of the Portuguese officers (who are all fat motherly types, like all Mediterranean mothers according to her) were whispering in their husbands ears that Kate is far to thin to be a good mother.

Incredible.

The only people casting aspersions on Kate's appearance were her and her mother. Her mother who felt the need to go to the papers and say - 'If she had bigger breasts people would be more sympathetic'.

Just when we thought this 'ludicrous' (can I still use that word or has it been TM'd by Team McCann?) story couldn't get any more strange....

Innocent or guiltily, her whole attitude has been nothing short of baffling. Though the police don't seem much better at handling the case. So that can't help either way!

And there was me thinking they had so much positive support from the public. Or at least that's what they have been saying. Yet another contradiction me thinks?

I read this to her appearance has nothing to do with the fact she and Gerry are negligent parents.

With you on that. But then she did still manage to wear costume jewellery etc whilst looking for her daughter. I find that strange..........i really wouldn't care what i looked like, i would find it hard to even bother trying to look nice. Far more important things to worry about

The song "You're so vain" by Carly Simon springs to mind.
