which is good. My breasts are also big and were very tender, but not now. Is this normal? I just feel like there should be all this stuff and I have nothing. What have been all of your experiences?

Thanks all! I have an ultrasound scheduled for the 7th of Nov. (about 7 weeks). I'm just a little freaked. I've had 5 miscarriages happen to friends. I'm just trying to sit back and be content! Hard thought for an anal retentive personality! :)

You may just be one of the lucky ones who don't have symptoms. Personally I was very moody, had a major lack of appetite and was nauseous all the time (sometimes vomiting), and had sore breasts until the end of the 1st trimester. As long as the tests are coming back alright, try to relax and enjoy pregnancy. If you have any concerns, feel free to ask your Doctor or midwife about it.

It is common to have tender breasts then for it to go away. My breasts stopped being tender, and only recently became sensitive again mostly because they are getting ready to produce milk and are starting to do the pre leaking thing (yea exciting :S )

At 5 weeks you typically won't feel too much, from most of what I've read personally, most women don't really notice movement from the baby until after 12 weeks (earliest) most around 18-24 weeks.

If you are concerned that you aren't pregnant any more there is little the doctor can do to avoid a miscarriage. You will know it's a miscarriage, it will be like a period but heavier and much more painful. If you are flowing blood like a period, that is when to be concerned.

But at 5 weeks your body is still in the early stages, some women don't even feel like they are pregnant at this point. I would say you you will start to notice in the 3rd month BIG time, especially if you are starting to get morning sickness, which can happen any where from near the beginning up into the 2nd trimester and sometimes periodically throughout your pregnancy.

If you are concerned in a couple weeks that you are not pregnant, at 8 weeks usually is the earliest they will do an Ultrasound, and if your doctor says it isn't necessary, well I would just say you feel you need it. Even if its just to confirm the baby is there and okay.

5 weeks is a little early to be wanting major changes.

The only thing I was feeling at that time was a little more tiredness.

I didn't even start looking pregnant until I was between 4-5 months along.

I didn't feel the first movement until 21 weeks.

Also, are you active?

I am not too active, like physically, but I am active personally. I mean that I have a lot of things going in my life. Sometimes if you have a lot of things going on it takes more time to notice things. Basically, that was what I was told. I was not paying attention I guess.

Don't worry. I know it is really fun and neat and all when things start happening, but let them happen in their own time.

I have a miracle baby so I was really glad that I did not get a lot of things going on in the beginning. I think if I had it would have been more difficult if I had lost her. I did not start feeling pregnant until I was past the point of miscarriage so I think that helped with the bonding and the general feeling of being happy I was pregnant.

Hang in there.

At five weeks... I would be surprised if you DID feel any symptoms other than sore breasts or tiredness. If your HCG levels are good then I would just sit back and enjoy the ride. The "best" is yet to come. :)

This is normal. Not everyone has symptoms in the beginning. I was never sick. I just was tired a lot and had to pee a lot. I don't think that I really "felt pregnant" until the second trimester.

Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones. But to be honest, I didn't start feeling bad until a little later, maybe around six weeks, I can't remember exactly.
