Okay...so the only fertile cervical mucus is the "clear, stretchy, egg-white" looking kind??? Is it possible to conceive having the more whitish, lotiony cervical mucus in the days prior to ovulation. I feel like my cervical mucus never gets to that "fertile" consistency that everyone else is always mentioning. Please advise.

I always check my cervical mucus when I check my cervical position. You might want to try that. It really helps me because sometimes it is hard to tell what is there, and you can squeeze out the CM and see what it is a whole lot better. I will put those instructions at the bottom of my post.

In the most common pattern, cervical fluid starts out dry after your period and then gets sticky, then creamy, then wet and watery, becoming most like eggwhite as you get closer to ovulation. You may get different types of cervical fluid on the same day.

Dry: If you have no cervical fluid present at all; if you notice no cervical fluid in your underwear; and if the outside of your vagina feels dry. You can expect to see dry days both before ovulation after your period and after ovulation. This is "dry" even if your vagina feels slightly moist inside.

Sticky: Your cervical fluid as "sticky" if it is glue-like, gummy, stiff or crumbly and if it breaks easily and quickly and if it is not easily stretched. It will probably be yellowish or white, but could also be cloudy/clear. You may or may not see some sticky cervical fluid before and after ovulation.

Creamy: Your cervical fluid as "creamy" if it is like hand lotion, white or yellow or cloudy/clear, like milk or cream, mayonnaise or like a flour/water solution. It may stretch slightly but not very much and break easily.

Watery: Your cervical fluid is clear and most resembles water. It may be stretchy also. This cervical fluid is considered fertile and this may be your most fertile cervical fluid or you may get it before you get eggwhite cervical fluid or you may not get this type of fluid at all.

Eggwhite: This is your most fertile cervical fluid. If your cervical fluid looks at all like real eggwhite, is stretchy and clear, or clear tinged with white, or even clear tinged with pink. It also resembles semen (and has a lot of the same physical properties to allow the sperm to travel and be nourished). You should be able to stretch it between your thumb and index finger.

Checking the cervix...

To avoid the possibility of infection, always check the cervix with clean hands.
Check the cervix once a day after menses. You only need to check once a day, unlike cervical fluid which you may check several times a day.
Check your cervix at the same time every day as it may change throughout the day.
Use the same position for checking your cervix throughout the cycle as changing positions will change your observation of cervical height.
Squatting or placing one foot on a stool (or toilet seat) are good positions.
Relax. (You will be able to more easily relax as you gain more experience).
Insert one or two fingers into the vagina. At the back of the vagina, you should be able to feel your cervix. If you feel something at the back of your vagina that stops your fingers, then you have found your cervix. If you apply gentle pressure you will notice that it feels smooth, round and firmer that the surrounding vaginal tissues.
Feel your cervix and make the following observations:
Is the cervix high or low? (it is more difficult to reach it is high)
Does the cervix feel soft or firm?
Does the cervix feel open or closed? (Women who have already had children may notice that the cervix always feels slightly open).
Does the cervix feel wet or dry?
Do you feel any bumps on your cervix? (If you feel bumps that do not seem to be related to your fertility pattern, talk to your doctor right away)

Why don't you try checking your cervical position? Go onto yahoo and look it up. Their are a couple websites. I couldn't go off of cm either I never seemed to have the correct consistency. So I did cervical positioning and it worked. I am due in 21 days. Good Luck

My doctor told me that a watery or lotiony cm is fine to conceieve. You just need cm that isn't the real sticky kind because it won't allow sperm to travel. Of course the eggwhite cm is best but not all women have it and still conceive. I am on Clomid so my cm is more watery than anything else and dr said that was fine. There is a product called Pre-Seed that is a sperm friendly lubricant you can use if you feel that your cm is not allowing you to conceive. Best of luck ttc!!!!!!!!

Hello Katie C. ......I wish you and your husband well on trying to have a child. That is fantastic. I do not have any information on this topic however. I am writing about your last question where you shared with us about moving to Philly. I wanted to keep this private but you and I both are programmed to not receive e-mails or IM's. So I tracked you down to appologize. I was very harsh like you (mentioned) in your comment following my answer. I am sorry that I did not choose better words and phrase my answer better. That was very wrong of me and not very Christian of me. I guess I had a bad day. Please forgive me. I hope everything works out just wonderful in Philly and I hope and pray that you and your husband get pregnant soon and have a very healthy baby. Sincerely, Fergy. I am going to change my settings so that you can e-mail me if you want to. Again Katie C., I am truly sorry that I answered so harshly to your question earlier. (smile)

If by utilising witch craft you mean gang bang then definite, I even have used it while attempting to conceive. It became right into a lot of relaxing. I serve beverages and snacks formerly. to date i've got been no longer able to conceive, yet I in many situations host a gang bang night each and each month on my maximum fertile day.
