Trust me, the Patriot players and true knowledgable Pats fans respect the Colts. The Pats and the Colts are the 2 best teams in the NFL and only a dope would disagree. The Colts are the only team that is good enough to cost the Pats a perfect season and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs - and vice versa.
The Pats & Colts will play in the AFC Championship game again this year. The winner will be the team that has homefield advantage and that team will go to win the 2008 S-Bowl.

I think people still see the Colts as number 2, and at this point in the season that is pretty accurate. The Colts are good, they did win the superbowl last year, the Bears were in the superbowl last year too does that make them currently the second best team in the league?
The Colts beat the patriots 3 times in a row, after losing to them what 8 or 9 times in a row. This season Colts will be 0-2 against them. Comparing both teams on what they have done this season:
Offense - Pats are way better than the colts on offense this year. They have scored more, they have run for a .3 yards per game less, they have passed for more. Quarterback Brady has thrown for more TD's than manning and they both have 2 INTS. Brady has a higher QB rating. Randy Moss has more yards than harrison, more TD's.
Defense - Patriots are 10 times better on defense than the Colts. The Patriots defense is stronger than it was last season, but has been kinda overshadowed by the offense so they haven't gotten much attention. Dallas is the first team to score more than 20 points against new england, but considering New England's D wasn't on the field for 7 of those points and another 3 came off a kickoff return that placed Dallas in field goal range thats a pretty good outing on the road against a good offense.
We'll find out November 4th why New England's getting all the attention.

I agree...everyone underestimated the Colts last year because of their inability to stop the run, yet they won the Superbowl. Even with all of the losses during the off season, they seem to better on defense this year. I hope the Colts and Patriots are both still undefeated when the Pats travel to Indy, and I hope the Colts deal the Pats their first defeat of the season.

I don't think there's anyone who doesn't respect the Colts' abilities. Any NFL fan knows the Colts can beat any team on any given day. The Patriots are just getting more press because of how they're dominating everyone, and they just beat the undefeated Cowboys. The Colts-Patriots game will be a huge deal, and will probably get re-played in the AFC Championship game.

i'm choosing the Colts. even although the Pats are enjoying at an magnificent point, Tom Brady only has to have a undesirable day sometime; and the Colts will capitalize on that. The score would be close - Colts 40-one; Pats 38. bypass Colts! bypass Steelers!

Look at the numbers the Pats put up. Nobodies saying the Colts are a great team but how can you not pick the Patriots to win the way they dominated last week. I don't think 16-0 will happen but their on track to put up some impression offensive numbers.

The Colts should be happy they are under the radar. Nobody is really gunning for them this year--everybody wants the Pats.
But it's only because of the publicity generated by the Pats this year: Randy Moss and cheating.
That's why the Pats are so high profile this year.
The Colts should just take it easy, knock teams down, work on their game, and get ready for the post season.

Who would have thought that the defending champs would be under the radar! Thanks to ESPN with their east coast lovefest, people have forgotten about the Colts. And the fact they were off last week, and NE had a big game against Dallas, it pushed them further off the map.
When the Colts beat the Pats in a few weeks, they will remember them.
