In some religions, like Christianity, it is considered evil and pagan. This "holiday" is a pagan based holiday that celebrates the day of the dead. That is why a lot of Christians do not celebrate Halloween or let their children go around trick or treating.
Also that is another reason why a lot of churches will have their fall festivals on that night as a Christian alternative for trick or treating, and it is a lot safer nowadays.
Hope this helps you answer your question some.
Good Luck!

I think it's simply because originally halloween started out as a way to celebrate the dead and other evil and ugly things. However, it has since turned into more of an exciting day of dress up for children. As long as you keep them in that way of thinking then there's nothing wrong with it. Although, we never know what kind of psychos are actually out there with a different way of thinking.

Different perspectives. To truly evil persons everything seems evil. It's a self-projection, directed at whatever catches their attention; right now that's Halloween.

Some people in the world are just more strict on religion on others. Halloween used to be a pagan holiday u know that doesn't help much with strict folks.

Cause some people take it's original intent seriously. All hollows night had an entirely different meaning and intention from what the commercialized "halloween" version is now.

Because some are ignorant and others are not. Should the ignorant choose to enlighten themselves they would learn that Halloween is far from 'evil'.

It's about control.

If you claim your path is the only true one, then you can accuse others' paths of being false - or even evil.

As a pagan holiday never successfully recast as a Christian holiday (as Yule/Christmas or Easter were), it becomes a target of those who want to scare people into their sphere of control and away from independent thought.

Because some people are narrow minded and take life way too seriously. Life is like a box of chocolates.
