my daughter's name is Teslyn... Teslyn Lesley.
we sometimes shorten it to Tess but mostly she's Teslyn.
I hate it when people call her Tessie... or Tesalyn.
what do you guys think???
did we pick a good name for her?
(brothers Dominic Leo and Timothy Robert)

I know it's a bit of a tongue twister at first but you get used to it really quick. It's really suits her, she's three and a half and a little tomboy all the way.
I wanted to name her Madeleine but my husband hated it. She was named four days before she was born and it comes from the Wheel of Time series that my husband has been reading for years... something about a magic user or something???...lol

Lesley is also my middle name and my mother's maiden name so it was important that my daughter have the name as well.

I think that it is a beautiful name -- not only is it unique, but it also honors your family. If other people do not like it, then so what!

I personally like the name Teslyn, because it is unisex...and, it certainly sounds like you have chosen a name which fits yoru daughter's tomboy years, and which she can grow into as she gets older.

I don't want to be rude, naming your child is your own business, but Teslyn Lesley sounds like such a tongue twister to me. I love the name Tess and Tess Lesley. Unfortunately, we never know what kinds of nicknames other people are going to come up with.

I also like both of your boys' names.

I think its pretty. Not a name that I personally would pick, but it's very nice. I do love the name Tesla (tess-luh) and I have a little redheaded cousin named Tessa, which are fairly similar to Teslyn. I think Tess is an adorable nickname! In fact, it's a name I had considered for my future children but my aunt got to it first lol. You picked a good name, stop worrying!!!

I think Teslyn is lovely. It's unique, but not too alien. Pretty and simple. Although teaming it up with Lesley is bordering on silly. I also think you should know who/what your daughter's named after.

That's horrible. Your sons' names are very nice, why did you call your daughter something so trashy?

It's cute, but it's not like you can change her name now or anything.
