I was told there is somewhere that you can dress up and take old western pictures. Anybody know the name of this place or has a link to their website.

You cant miss them. There are many on the streets of Gatlinburg. I dont think they have individual links to their sites but here is a list of them http://www.gatlinburginsider.com/business/photographers.htm

I go to Gatlinburg 3-4 times per year and absolutely love it.
Here is some more info for you......

Must do's:
Cades Cove
Dixie Stampede - includes dinner
Ripley's Aquarium
Zorb (http://www.zorb.com/smoky/)
Clingman's Dome
Ripleys Moving Theater
Laurel Falls
Black Bear Jamboree -includes dinner
Ober Gatlinburg Skylift
Ice Skating
or just walking down the Gatlinburg streets. You will find many quaint shops owned by locals.

Must eats:
Pancake Pantry
The Old Mill Restaurant
The Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant
Homemade Fudge
Homemade Taffy Logs
(The fudge and taffy can be purchased on the streets of Gatlinburg - you can also see it being made)

Gatlinburg and Piegon Forge are most beautiful in the winter months.

I would also suggest you rent a cabin or chalet - you can get them for about the same price as a hotel and they are much more roomy and private....most also come with outdoor hot tubs and pool tables!

Here are some cabin & chalet links:

Gatlinburg is wonderful, one of my favorite places. If you walk along the street you cant miss these places. (And you definately want to walk along the street in Gatlinburg) Many wonderful little shops, game rooms, art galleries, restaurants, Ripley's Museums and Aquarium - you will see a couple of the photo spots, they are right in the middle of town on the main strip.
