As you increase the amount of information on your hard drive, your computer slows down. As your computer hard drive gets 'dirty' it slows down. If it picks up malware that tracks what you do, it slows down. If you pick up a virus, it will slow down. Myspace stuff? Don't know.. it depends on what you have.

Do this to partially clean your computer up, but do it when you can walk away from the computer for an extended period of time. An hour.. two.

Open the Start tab and go to All Programs.

Go to the top of that mini window and open Accessories.

Go down in the Accessories min window and click on System Tools.

In System Tools, open Disk Cleanup.

It will ask you to select the drives you wish to clean up. Select C.

When that program has looked at your whole hard drive and picked out the ugly stuff that is dirt, it will ask you if you want to delete the information. Make sure all the boxes on your C drive are checked, and then say OK. At that point, if you can leave it alone for an hour, it would be good. When it is finished, click out of the program and restart your computer.
