I think the Sox can win, and then two more back in Boston. I KNOW they can. I have no idea if they will though.
Losing? Piffle. I've seen them lose before, and plenty, and in some of the most agonizing ways possible. I had no doubt whatsoever that the Red Sox would lose Game 7 in 1986 after I saw the ending to Game 6. I watched anyway.
I've seen 1975, 1978, 1986, the "someone had to win the AL East" 1988 and 1990 hiccups, the disaster years afterwards when there was Clemens, Boggs, and a lot of roster detritus, Hobson as manager, Kennedy as manager (despite the 1995 AL East title), 1995, 1998, 1999 (worst. umpiring. ever.), 2003 when everyone on the entire planet watching the game knew Pedro needed to come out except the one guy who was empowered to take him out, and 2004 when they went to the very teetering brink, standing on the outer molecules of the razored edge of the cliff of elimination before taking it back -- ALL THE WAY back -- to that one, the only one I ever really wanted, championship, so close to getting knocked out (knocked out by THEM!) that the bile was arising, and then get skunked quickly in 2005.
I've seen them lose. I can take them losing. Winning is better, sure. But I've seen them do that also, oh yes it was the sweetest sweetness, and if they never do it again in my lifetime I will not despair or anguish.
I know they can win tonight. It won't bother me (too much) if they lose.

The Red Sox have the pitcher to win tonight. Now, can they get the timely hitting and support for the middle of the lineup that they've been missing most of the series? And can their bullpen step it up? Does Manny Ramirez really even care? Those questions will be answered.

Not even close, Beckett is the best big game pitcher in the game, followed by Schilling who is also right up there and gets to pitch back at home. Game 7 anything can and will happen, maybe even bringing Beckett back on short rest for some relief, so don't count the Sox out yet!

I'd be nervous too if I was you. Even if Boston wins tonight I'd still be nervous. You got two 19 game winners going for Cleveland if this goes 2 more games. Do you really think both will pitch bad again? One of these guys are going to lights out Boston. I have seen it all year-they never have 2 bad outings in a row together...won't start now. Luckily for you guys though-Carmona is beter then CC so you don't have to face him tonight. Be happy about that. But look for CC to be pumped up.

I honestly don't even want to touch this game. With Cleveland on the verge of clinching a World Series berth at home, and with Boston on the verge of being eliminated therefore having a do or die attitude, and with both teams ace's on the mound, I think this is going to be a fantastic game! Beckett won't give an inch, he will pitch lights out. Sabathia will be pumped and want to win in front of his fans. Both offenses will be pressing trying to get that extra hit or run that will make the difference in this game. I can't wait, either way, it's going to be a great game!

surely, basically relax. Play the form you're used to and you would be advantageous. a super form of the time, the purpose isn't in common terms your fault, it relatively is the completed team it relatively is at fault for the ball getting to you interior the 1st place. ensure you talk with your team and your protection so as that there is not any excuse for an open participant to take a loose shot. If there's a unfastened ball, call IT! devoid of calling for it, they won't understand you're coming and you may injure no longer in common terms your self, yet additionally the different team. in case you're making a determination to circulate out, follow it! in case you hesitate on what you do, you have a worse possibility than you probably did interior the 1st place. popping out at a forward has a tendency to tension them into taking a shot which alot of situations, is going extensive or intense. basically play the form you're used to enjoying and you will do advantageous.

You should be nervous, the Red Sox are on the verge of elimination. I can't believe the Red Sox would spend over $50 million dollars on a pitcher who can't perform in the playoffs!!!!!!!!
GO TRIBE!!!!!!!

As a Philadelphian, I compare Manny's comments to Ricky Watters' "for who for what" comments.
Despicable.
The only reason I root for the Yankees is because I can't stand the Red Sox or Red Sox fans.
