Why do people bid more on eBay for an item than it costs to buy in the shops brand new?? Usually for DVDs and games you can see someone selling them on ebay and they sell for twice the price thatyou can buy them in online stores.

I know I have seen the same, and they also don't take into consideration the postage costs, I just think they either haven't done there home work to find out the correct selling price of they get carriage away in a bidding war, also I don't understand why people bid so early, it just takes the price higher, I also wait until about 1 minute till auction ends then I bid.

Because they haven't done their homework?? They are disabled and find it easier to shop on line? They live in a remote area thats 30 minutes from shops??

I know what you mean though!! I usually buy mine from Play.com - often half the price than those on ebay!

These are people for whom the price is unimportant, just the fact that they have seen something they want and can't be bothered to check if it is cheaper elsewhere.

Either that or they are simply addicted to beating the other bidders - for which they need help!

You can't cancel. Pay up and consider it a life lesson. Of course you can leave a bad review for the seller.
